Splitr is a mobile application designed to help users track shared household expenses, detect recurring or utility charges, and request payments from roommates through Venmo.

The app allows users to:

• Connect financial accounts using Plaid, a secure third-party service
• Automatically retrieve and display transaction data
• Identify shared or recurring expenses
• Request payments via Venmo
• Manage roommates and customized rules
• Receive notifications about new shared charges

Users are responsible for ensuring all information provided is accurate and compliant with applicable laws.

To use Splitr, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Reside in a supported country
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements

Users create accounts with a valid email address and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. Any compromise of your account should be reported immediately to support@prietotechnologies.com.

Plaid

By connecting your bank account, you authorize Plaid Technologies, Inc. to securely access certain financial account information on your behalf. Banking credentials are never stored by Splitr; data flows directly through secure tokenized connections.

Supabase

Application data — including roommate information, rules, and requests — is stored via Supabase, subject to their privacy policies.

Venmo

Splitr creates deep links to Venmo only. All payment processing occurs within Venmo's platform, governed by their terms.

Splitr employs the following protective measures:

• End-to-end encrypted connections
• Secure token authentication
• Restricted access controls
• Secure cloud storage

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
• Input false or unauthorized financial data
• Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the app
• Impersonate other users
• Send harassing or abusive payment requests

Splitr may send push notifications regarding bills and account activity. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" with no guarantees regarding:

• Transaction data accuracy
• Third-party service availability
• Automatic bill detection results
• Venmo request delivery or acceptance

Splitr may be modified or discontinued at any time.

Plaid powers recurring expense detection; Splitr uses rule-based classification to identify shared charges. Classification is not guaranteed to be accurate. It is your responsibility to confirm accuracy before sending payment requests.

Upon account deletion:

• Your user profile will be removed
• Connected Plaid items will be deleted
• All associated roommate, rule, and split data will be destroyed

Anonymized technical logs may be retained for security purposes.

Prieto Technologies LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to Splitr for violations of these Terms or any conduct deemed harmful to users or the service.

Splitr is provided without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding error-free operation, uninterrupted service, or absolute security.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prieto Technologies LLC is not liable for indirect damages, data loss, financial losses, roommate disputes, or issues arising from third-party services. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the app is to discontinue its use.

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of Splitr following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
